The last two years of the pandemic has really changed the landscape of the wedding industry and especially with requiring us to not only be creative and intentional in how we go about planning weddings but also teaching us the art of flexibility. I've learned that it takes a bit of flexibility and faith to plan a gorgeous wedding! Ann and Tim’s intimate wedding at Wentworth Mansion in beautiful historic downtown Charleston, SC was a complete dream to design with just a few pieces that each made a major impact and created an incredibly beautiful intimate fall wedding.

Intimate weddings full of romantic blooms and significant details are my favorite weddings to design - Ann & Tim's wedding is most certainly on the top on my list as one of the favorites. Ann's easy-going nature combined with beautiful vision and complete trust in me allowed this design to become what it was. With just a handful of people to witness and the bride and groom, the flawless interior design of the bridal suite where the ceremony took place complimented the floral color scheme gorgeously and couldn’t have been more cozy, dreamy and romantic. From the grand ornate fireplace to the rooftop cupola, The Wentworth Mansion is the ideal setting for an intimate wedding.
I love venues that have fireplaces and if available all ceremonies should take place in front of them. They’re a great way to create a striking ambiance especially when you add lush flowers. This was the fall wedding ceremony of my dreams. I'm seriously IN LOVE with this intimate wedding and can’t handle how uniquely stunning every detail was from the bride's incredible look with her bouquet, the textured pattern in the groom's coat, the gorgeous flower girl crown, and the breathtaking carved fireplace. It was just COMPLETELY perfect!!
I had a lot of fun designing the fireplace mantle arrangement with a deep rich palette and textured blooms — lots of deep velvety reds, pale blush pink, warm sunset orange with touches of deep green foliage. It was deliciously rich, deep and moody. The flower design was refined elegance and timelessly classic. Such an honor to be a part of a perfectly dreamy and romantic day.
